Restoration of an 1830 Cobblestone in Perinton

View another restoration

The Furman Road Project was a complete rebuilding of an 1830 cobblestone home in the Town of Perinton. As the photos show, the exterior cobblestone area was restored. Once the wood-framed addition was removed, a 2,300 square foot addition was constructed, to allow for a modern kitchen, master bedroom suite and the upgraded features a modern home requires. The interior was completely rebuilt. The original flooring was saved, reinstalled and refinished. Trim details were saved or copied and all door and window openings were kept at the original sizes.

This technique allowed an historically significant structure, to be saved and restored. While a modern family can comfortably live in a piece of restored history.
